Dear Brand Photography Customers –
University Brand Photography Services is implementing several changes that we’d like to take a moment to tell you about. The first, which you may have noticed, is of course our name. Formerly known as Imaging Services, the new University Brand Photography Services department will serve under the newly formed University Marketing Communications department. In this capacity, our focus will better serve the University’s marketing efforts.
As a result of this new focus, we will cease the majority of our printing operations, such as enlargements, poster printing, passport photos, photo restoration and non-university walk in orders. Many of these services will now be available from the University’s Printing & Graphic Services Department. Prints of any image in our entire database can also be ordered from our website, http://umis.zenfolio.com/. In addition to prints, this Web site also offers a new product, which we hope will serve your growing needs for Web pages and online presentation. Every image in our archive can now be downloaded at Web resolution for the low price of $0.99! These digital files are perfect for departmental Web designs, Power Point presentations or any other computer based photography use.
In addition, here at University Brand Photography Services we are refocusing many of our photographic efforts to address the growing need for images that more aptly represent the University’s marketing goals. We will still be available for hire to the University community, however will be scaling back the amount of assignments we take on that do not necessarily serve to University’s long-term marketing goals. In some of these instances, our professional photography staff will be offering alternative suggestions or methods to photograph such events. As you can imagine, each event is different, so we will strive to use our best expert opinions in these cases.
While our name may be different, our goal is still the same as it has always been: to serve the University’s photographic and imaging needs with expertise, professionalism and friendliness. These changes will hopefully allow us to do that to an even greater extent, while also providing a more dynamic and attractive visual representation of our beautiful Ole Miss community.
Sincerely,
Robert Jordan
Director of University Brand Photography Services
